CVSS v3.1 |
| n affected platforms running Arista EOS, ACL policies may not be enforced. IPv4 ingress ACL, MAC ingress ACL, or IPv6 standard ingress ACL enabled on one or more ethernet or LAG interfaces may result in ACL policies not being enforced for ingress packets. This can cause incoming packets to incorrectly be allowed or denied. The two symptoms of this issue on the affected release and platform are:
* Packets which should be permitted may be dropped and,
* Packets which should be dropped may be permitted. |
| Amazon AWS Client VPN before 3.9.1 on macOS has a buffer overflow that could potentially allow a local actor to execute arbitrary commands with elevated permissions, a different vulnerability than CVE-2024-30164. |
| Amazon AWS Client VPN has a buffer overflow that could potentially allow a local actor to execute arbitrary commands with elevated permissions. This is resolved in 3.11.1 on Windows, 3.9.1 on macOS, and 3.12.1 on Linux. NOTE: although the macOS resolution is the same as for CVE-2024-30165, this vulnerability on macOS is not the same as CVE-2024-30165. |
| An out-of-bounds read in the ASP could allow a privileged attacker with access to a malicious bootloader to potentially read sensitive memory resulting in loss of confidentiality. |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in MPlayer Lite r33064 due to improper bounds checking when handling M3U playlist files containing long http:// URL entries. An attacker can craft a malicious .m3u file with a specially formatted URL that triggers a stack overflow when processed by the player, particularly via drag-and-drop interaction. This flaw allows for control of the execution flow through SEH overwrite and a DEP bypass using a ROP chain that leverages known gadgets in loaded DLLs. Successful exploitation may result in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the current user. |
| UERANSIM before 3.2.6 allows out-of-bounds read when a RLS packet is sent to gNodeB with malformed PDU length. This occurs in function readOctetString in src/utils/octet_view.cpp and in function DecodeRlsMessage in src/lib/rls/rls_pdu.cpp |
| Talkative IRC v0.4.4.16 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when processing specially crafted response strings sent to a connected client. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending an overly long message that overflows a fixed-length buffer, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution in the context of the vulnerable process. This vulnerability is exploitable remotely and does not require authentication. |
| NetOp (now part of Impero Software) Remote Control Client v9.5 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when processing .dws configuration files. If a .dws file contains a string longer than 520 bytes, the application fails to perform proper bounds checking, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code when the file is opened. |
| An authenticated attacker may trigger a stack based buffer overflow by performing a malformed request to either the HTTP service (TCP port 80), the HTTPS service (TCP port 443), or the IPP service (TCP port 631). The malformed request will contain an empty Origin header value and a malformed Referer header value. The Referer header value will trigger a stack based buffer overflow when the host value in the Referer header is processed and is greater than 64 bytes in length. |
| emdns_resolve_raw in emdns.c in emdns through fbd1eef calls strlen with an input that may not be '\0' terminated, leading to a stack-based buffer over-read. This can be triggered by a remote adversary that can send DNS requests to the emdns server. The impact could vary depending on the system libraries, compiler, and processor architecture. Code before be565c3 is unaffected. |
| GTA San Andreas Multiplayer (SA-MP) server version 0.3.1.1 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow triggered by parsing a malformed server.cfg configuration file. The vulnerability allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code when the server binary (samp-server.exe) processes a crafted echo directive containing excessive input. The original 'sa-mp.com' site is defunct, but the community maintains mirrors and forks that may be vulnerable. |
| Cytel Studio version 9.0 and earlier is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow triggered by parsing a malformed .CY3 file. The vulnerability occurs when the application copies user-controlled strings into a fixed-size stack buffer (256 bytes) without proper bounds checking. Exploitation allows arbitrary code execution when the crafted file is opened. |
| oqs-provider is a provider for the OpenSSL 3 cryptography library that adds support for post-quantum cryptography in TLS, X.509, and S/MIME using post-quantum algorithms from liboqs. Flaws have been identified in the way oqs-provider handles lengths decoded with DECODE_UINT32 at the start of serialized hybrid (traditional + post-quantum) keys and signatures. Unchecked length values are later used for memory reads and writes; malformed input can lead to crashes or information leakage. Handling of plain/non-hybrid PQ key operation is not affected. This issue has been patched in in v0.6.1. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no workarounds for this issue. |
| A potential buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in PC Manager, Lenovo Browser, and Lenovo App Store that could allow a local attacker to cause a system crash. |
| KV Studio versions 12.23 and prior contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability. If the product uses a specially crafted file, arbitrary code may be executed on the affected product. |
| Improper Input Validation vulnerability in OpenText Self Service Password Reset allows Authentication Bypass. This issue affects Self Service Password Reset from before 4.8 patch 3. |
| An issue was discovered in Trusted Firmware-M through 2.1.0. User provided (and controlled) mailbox messages contain a pointer to a list of input arguments (in_vec) and output arguments (out_vec). These list pointers are never validated. Each argument list contains a buffer pointer and a buffer length field. After a PSA call, the length of the output arguments behind the unchecked pointer is updated in mailbox_direct_reply, regardless of the call result. This allows an attacker to write anywhere in the secure firmware, which can be used to take over the control flow, leading to remote code execution (RCE). |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.1 (All versions < V9.1 SP2 UC04), SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Professional V17 (All versions < V17 Update 8), SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Professional V18 (All versions < V18 Update 4), SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Professional V19 (All versions < V19 Update 1), SIMATIC WinCC V7.5 (All versions < V7.5 SP2 Update 16), SIMATIC WinCC V8.0 (All versions < V8.0 Update 5). The affected products do not properly validate the input provided in the login dialog box. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to cause a persistent denial of service condition. |
| An unauthenticated attacker can trigger a stack based buffer overflow in the DP Service (TCP port 3500). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111. |
| On affected platforms running Arista EOS with 802.1X configured, certain conditions may occur where a dynamic ACL is received from the AAA server resulting in only the first line of the ACL being installed after an Accelerated Software Upgrade (ASU) restart.
Note: supplicants with pending captive-portal authentication during ASU would be impacted with this bug. |
