In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - fix DMA transfer direction When CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG is selected, while running the crypto self test on the QAT crypto algorithms, the function add_dma_entry() reports a warning similar to the one below, saying that overlapping mappings are not supported. This occurs in tests where the input and the output scatter list point to the same buffers (i.e. two different scatter lists which point to the same chunks of memory). The logic that implements the mapping uses the flag DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL for both the input and the output scatter lists which leads to overlapped write mappings. These are not supported by the DMA layer. Fix by specifying the correct DMA transfer directions when mapping buffers. For in-place operations where the input scatter list matches the output scatter list, buffers are mapped once with DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL, otherwise input buffers are mapped using the flag DMA_TO_DEVICE and output buffers are mapped with DMA_FROM_DEVICE. Overlapping a read mapping with a write mapping is a valid case in dma-coherent devices like QAT. The function that frees and unmaps the buffers, qat_alg_free_bufl() has been changed accordingly to the changes to the mapping function. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: fix memory leak when removing provided buffers When removing provided buffers, io_buffer structs are not being disposed of, leading to a memory leak. They can't be freed individually, because they are allocated in page-sized groups. They need to be added to some free list instead, such as io_buffers_cache. All callers already hold the lock protecting it, apart from when destroying buffers, so had to extend the lock there.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-usb: dtv5100: fix out-of-bounds in dtv5100_i2c_msg() rlen value is a user-controlled value, but dtv5100_i2c_msg() does not check the size of the rlen value. Therefore, if it is set to a value larger than sizeof(st->data), an out-of-bounds vuln occurs for st->data. Therefore, we need to add proper range checking to prevent this vuln.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: fix crash in set_mesh_sync and set_mesh_complete There is a BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in set_mesh_sync due to memcpy from badly declared on-stack flexible array. Another crash is in set_mesh_complete() due to double list_del via mgmt_pending_valid + mgmt_pending_remove. Use DEFINE_FLEX to declare the flexible array right, and don't memcpy outside bounds. As mgmt_pending_valid removes the cmd from list, use mgmt_pending_free, and also report status on error.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: fix memory leak in vfio_ap device driver The device release callback function invoked to release the matrix device uses the dev_get_drvdata(device *dev) function to retrieve the pointer to the vfio_matrix_dev object in order to free its storage. The problem is, this object is not stored as drvdata with the device; since the kfree function will accept a NULL pointer, the memory for the vfio_matrix_dev object is never freed. Since the device being released is contained within the vfio_matrix_dev object, the container_of macro will be used to retrieve its pointer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: s5p-mfc: Clear workbit to handle error condition During error on CLOSE_INSTANCE command, ctx_work_bits was not getting cleared. During consequent mfc execution NULL pointer dereferencing of this context led to kernel panic. This patch fixes this issue by making sure to clear ctx_work_bits always.

The wcd934x codec seems to be the only or the first user of devm_regmap_init_slimbus() but we should fix it till the point where __devm_regmap_init_slimbus() was introduced therefore two "Fixes" tags. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: ptdma: check for null desc before calling pt_cmd_callback Resolves a panic that can occur on AMD systems, typically during host shutdown, after the PTDMA driver had been exercised. The issue was the pt_issue_pending() function is mistakenly assuming that there will be at least one descriptor in the Submitted queue when the function is called. However, it is possible that both the Submitted and Issued queues could be empty, which could result in pt_cmd_callback() being mistakenly called with a NULL pointer. Ref: Bugzilla Bug 216856.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/qaic: Fix bootlog initialization ordering As soon as we queue MHI buffers to receive the bootlog from the device, we could be receiving data. Therefore all the resources needed to process that data need to be setup prior to queuing the buffers. We currently initialize some of the resources after queuing the buffers which creates a race between the probe() and any data that comes back from the device. If the uninitialized resources are accessed, we could see page faults. Fix the init ordering to close the race.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix NULL pointer deference in try_to_register_card In try_to_register_card(), the return value of usb_ifnum_to_if() is passed directly to usb_interface_claimed() without a NULL check, which will lead to a NULL pointer dereference when creating an invalid USB audio device. Fix this by adding a check to ensure the interface pointer is valid before passing it to usb_interface_claimed().
