In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io-wq: Fix memory leak in worker creation If the CPU mask allocation for a node fails, then the memory allocated for the 'io_wqe' struct of the current node doesn't get freed on the error handling path, since it has not yet been added to the 'wqes' array. The Qualys Cloud Agent included a bundled uninstall script (qagent_uninstall.sh), specific to Mac and Linux supported versions that invoked multiple system commands without using absolute paths and without sanitizing the $PATH environment. If the uninstall script is executed with elevated privileges (e.g., via sudo) in an environment where $PATH has been manipulated, an attacker with root/sudo privileges could cause malicious executables to be run in place of the intended system binaries. This behavior can be leveraged for local privilege escalation and arbitrary command execution under elevated privileges.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: Fix pci_device_is_present() for VFs by checking PF pci_device_is_present() previously didn't work for VFs because it reads the Vendor and Device ID, which are 0xffff for VFs, which looks like they aren't present. Check the PF instead. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix io-uring list corruption for terminated non-committed requests When a request is terminated before it has been committed, the request is not removed from the queue's list. This leaves a dangling list entry that leads to list corruption and use-after-free issues. Remove the request from the queue's list for terminated non-committed requests.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: char: applicom: fix NULL pointer dereference in ac_ioctl Discovered by Atuin - Automated Vulnerability Discovery Engine. In ac_ioctl, the validation of IndexCard and the check for a valid RamIO pointer are skipped when cmd is 6. However, the function unconditionally executes readb(apbs[IndexCard].RamIO + VERS) at the end. If cmd is 6, IndexCard may reference a board that does not exist (where RamIO is NULL), leading to a NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by skipping the readb access when cmd is 6, as this command is a global information query and does not target a specific board context.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-fc: avoid scheduling association deletion twice When forcefully shutting down a port via the configfs interface, nvmet_port_subsys_drop_link() first calls nvmet_port_del_ctrls() and then nvmet_disable_port(). Both functions will eventually schedule all remaining associations for deletion. The current implementation checks whether an association is about to be removed, but only after the work item has already been scheduled. As a result, it is possible for the first scheduled work item to free all resources, and then for the same work item to be scheduled again for deletion. Because the association list is an RCU list, it is not possible to take a lock and remove the list entry directly, so it cannot be looked up again. Instead, a flag (terminating) must be used to determine whether the association is already in the process of being deleted.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: Correctly handle Rx checksum offload errors The stmmac_rx function would previously set skb->ip_summed to CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY if hardware checksum offload (CoE) was enabled and the packet was of a known IP ethertype. However, this logic failed to check if the hardware had actually reported a checksum error. The hardware status, indicating a header or payload checksum failure, was being ignored at this stage. This could cause corrupt packets to be passed up the network stack as valid. This patch corrects the logic by checking the `csum_none` status flag, which is set when the hardware reports a checksum error. If this flag is set, skb->ip_summed is now correctly set to CHECKSUM_NONE, ensuring the kernel's network stack will perform its own validation and properly handle the corrupt packet.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gpusvm: fix hmm_pfn_to_map_order() usage Handle the case where the hmm range partially covers a huge page (like 2M), otherwise we can potentially end up doing something nasty like mapping memory which is outside the range, and maybe not even mapped by the mm. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Fix mmap write lock not release If mmap write lock is taken while draining retry fault, mmap write lock is not released because svm_range_restore_pages calls mmap_read_unlock then returns. This causes deadlock and system hangs later because mmap read or write lock cannot be taken. Downgrade mmap write lock to read lock if draining retry fault fix this bug.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-timers: Ensure timer ID search-loop limit is valid posix_timer_add() tries to allocate a posix timer ID by starting from the cached ID which was stored by the last successful allocation. This is done in a loop searching the ID space for a free slot one by one. The loop has to terminate when the search wrapped around to the starting point. But that's racy vs. establishing the starting point. That is read out lockless, which leads to the following problem: CPU0 CPU1 posix_timer_add() start = sig->posix_timer_id; lock(hash_lock); ... posix_timer_add() if (++sig->posix_timer_id < 0) start = sig->posix_timer_id; sig->posix_timer_id = 0; So CPU1 can observe a negative start value, i.e. -1, and the loop break never happens because the condition can never be true: if (sig->posix_timer_id == start) break; While this is unlikely to ever turn into an endless loop as the ID space is huge (INT_MAX), the racy read of the start value caught the attention of KCSAN and Dmitry unearthed that incorrectness. Rewrite it so that all id operations are under the hash lock.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Shutdown FW DMA in bnxt_shutdown() The netif_close() call in bnxt_shutdown() only stops packet DMA. There may be FW DMA for trace logging (recently added) that will continue. If we kexec to a new kernel, the DMA will corrupt memory in the new kernel. Add bnxt_hwrm_func_drv_unrgtr() to unregister the driver from the FW. This will stop the FW DMA. In case the call fails, call pcie_flr() to reset the function and stop the DMA.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix potential UAF in smb2_close_cached_fid() find_or_create_cached_dir() could grab a new reference after kref_put() had seen the refcount drop to zero but before cfid_list_lock is acquired in smb2_close_cached_fid(), leading to use-after-free. Switch to kref_put_lock() so cfid_release() is called with cfid_list_lock held, closing that gap.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/core: Fix system hang caused by cpu-clock usage cpu-clock usage by the async-profiler tool can trigger a system hang, which got bisected back to the following commit by Octavia Togami: 18dbcbfabfff ("perf: Fix the POLL_HUP delivery breakage") causes this issue The root cause of the hang is that cpu-clock is a special type of SW event which relies on hrtimers. The __perf_event_overflow() callback is invoked from the hrtimer handler for cpu-clock events, and __perf_event_overflow() tries to call cpu_clock_event_stop() to stop the event, which calls htimer_cancel() to cancel the hrtimer. But that's a recursion into the hrtimer code from a hrtimer handler, which (unsurprisingly) deadlocks. To fix this bug, use hrtimer_try_to_cancel() instead, and set the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag, which causes perf_swevent_hrtimer() to stop the event once it sees the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr Syzkaller found a kernel warning on the following sock_addr program: 0: r0 = 0 1: r2 = *(u32 *)(r1 +60) 2: exit which triggers: verifier bug: error during ctx access conversion (0) This is happening because offset 60 in bpf_sock_addr corresponds to an implicit padding of 4 bytes, right after msg_src_ip4. Access to this padding isn't rejected in sock_addr_is_valid_access and it thus later fails to convert the access. This patch fixes it by explicitly checking the various fields of bpf_sock_addr in sock_addr_is_valid_access. I checked the other ctx structures and is_valid_access functions and didn't find any other similar cases. Other cases of (properly handled) padding are covered in new tests in a subsequent patch.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: n_gsm: Don't block input queue by waiting MSC Currently gsm_queue() processes incoming frames and when opening a DLC channel it calls gsm_dlci_open() which calls gsm_modem_update(). If basic mode is used it calls gsm_modem_upd_via_msc() and it cannot block the input queue by waiting the response to come into the same input queue. Instead allow sending Modem Status Command without waiting for remote end to respond. Define a new function gsm_modem_send_initial_msc() for this purpose. As MSC is only valid for basic encoding, it does not do anything for advanced or when convergence layer type 2 is used.
