| A buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the command line interface of AOS-CX. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow an remote low-privileged user to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system. |
| Buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the command line interface of AOS-CX. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow a remote high-privileged user to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system. |
| DBI versions before 1.648 for Perl saved errors in a limited-sized buffer.
Error messages that were returned when RaiseError, PrintError or HandleError were set were written to a 200-byte buffer without a length limit.
Attackers that can influence the error text in an application can trigger a buffer overflow. |
| Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server with mod_xml2enc, xml2StartParse, and untrusted content
This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: from 2.4.0 through 2.4.67.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.68, which fixes the issue. |
| A buffer overflow in mod_proxy_html in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.67 and earlier allows an attack by an untrusted backend.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.68, which fixes this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/dp/mst: fix buffer overflows in sideband chunk accumulation
drm_dp_sideband_append_payload() has three related bugs when processing
device-provided sideband reply data:
1. Zero-length curchunk_len underflow: msg_len is a 6-bit field taken
directly from the DP sideband header. If a device sends msg_len=0,
curchunk_len is set to zero. The condition (curchunk_idx >= curchunk_len)
is immediately true, and curchunk_len-1 wraps to 255 (u8 underflow).
drm_dp_msg_data_crc4() reads 255 bytes from chunk[48], then memcpy()
writes 255 bytes into msg[], both far out of bounds.
2. chunk[48] overflow: curchunk_len can reach 63 (6-bit field). chunk[] is
only 48 bytes. Multi-iteration payload assembly appends 16-byte blocks
until curchunk_idx reaches curchunk_len, writing up to 15 bytes past
the end of chunk[] into msg[].
3. msg[256] overflow: each chunk contributes (curchunk_len-1) bytes to
msg[]. No check ensures curlen + (curchunk_len-1) stays within msg[256],
so the memcpy can spill into adjacent struct fields.
All three are reachable from any DP MST device that can forge sideband
reply messages on a physical connection. |
| Improper input validation in libsmsd.so prior to SMR Aug-2026 Release 1 allows local attackers to write out-of-bounds memory. |
| GNU cpio is vulnerable to an uncontrolled memory allocation in the make_path function at src/makepath.c. The function uses alloca to allocate stack memory based on the length of argpath, which is derived from an archive-controlled pathname during extraction. A malicious cpio archive containing a sufficiently long nested pathname causes an unbounded stack allocation, resulting in a stack overflow and crash of the cpio process. An attacker who can supply a crafted cpio archive to a victim who extracts it can cause a denial of service.
This issue has been fixed in commit 3cd514031371d8aeeaf2048aa10103e02831aaa9 |
| microtar's mtar_write_file_header and mtar_write_dir_header functions (src/microtar.c) copy a caller-supplied entry name into the 100-byte field of a stack-allocated mtar_header_t via strcpy(h.name, name), with no check that strlen(name) is less than 100 before the copy. |
| A vulnerability in the zip archive parser of ClamAV could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a DoS condition on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to improper boundary checks for content in zip files during scanning, which may result in an out-of-bounds write condition. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted zip file for scanning. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the ClamAV scanning process to terminate, resulting in a DoS condition on the affected software. |
| A vulnerability in the XAR file format parser of ClamAV could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a DoS condition or possibly other expanded impacts as a result of memory corruption on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to improper boundary checks for content in XAR files during scanning. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted file that contains XAR content to be scanned by ClamAV on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the ClamAV scanning process to terminate, resulting in a DoS condition on the affected software. |
| A buffer overflow in WatchGuard Fireware OS could may allow an authenticated remote attacker with privileged management access to execute arbitrary code with system privileges on the firewall.
This issue affects Fireware OS: from 11.9.6 through 12.10.3. |
| Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Apache Portable Runtime Utility memcached client
This issue affects Apache Portable Runtime Utility: from 1.3.0 through 1.6.3. |
| Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Apache Portable Runtime Utility redis client.
This issue affects Apache Portable Runtime Utility: from 1.6.0 through 1.6.3.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.6.4, which fixes the issue. |
| Heap buffer overflow in CrashReporting in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.109 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| A flaw was found in the libXfont2 font-server client. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability allows a malicious font server to send specially crafted glyph data. The fs_read_glyphs() function fails to properly validate the total size of the incoming data, leading to an overwrite of memory beyond the intended buffer. If the X server runs as a privileged user, this could result in privilege escalation, allowing an attacker to gain higher access. If the X server runs as an unprivileged user, it could lead to a denial of service, causing the system to crash. |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Systerel S2OPC 1.7.3 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the AddNodes, address_space_bs.c, sopc_node_mgt_helper_internal.c, and toolkit_test_server |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in open62541 v1.5.5 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the Service_Call validates input arguments against runtime-resolved InputArguments metadata |
| Memory Corruption when processing registry values with incorrect types using a direct query method. |
| open62541 1.5.5 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in the default HistoryRead path when the default history database is used with the memory backend. |
