CVE-2026-35041 1 Nearform 1 Fast-jwt 2026-04-15 4.2 Medium
fast-jwt provides fast JSON Web Token (JWT) implementation. From 5.0.0 to 6.2.0, a denial-of-service condition exists in fast-jwt when the allowedAud verification option is configured using a regular expression. Because the aud claim is attacker-controlled and the library evaluates it against the supplied RegExp, a crafted JWT can trigger catastrophic backtracking in the JavaScript regex engine, resulting in significant CPU consumption during verification. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.2.1.
CVE-2025-0367 2026-04-15 6.5 Medium
In versions 3.1.0 and lower of the Splunk Supporting Add-on for Active Directory, also known as SA-ldapsearch, a vulnerable regular expression pattern could lead to a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attack.
CVE-2024-21539 1 Eslint 1 Rewrite 2026-04-15 7.5 High
Versions of the package @eslint/plugin-kit before 0.2.3 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) due to improper input sanitization. An attacker can increase the CPU usage and crash the program by exploiting this vulnerability.
CVE-2024-21503 2 Python Software Foundation, Redhat 2 Black, Ansible Automation Platform 2026-04-15 5.3 Medium
Versions of the package black before 24.3.0 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the lines_with_leading_tabs_expanded function in the strings.py file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious input that causes a denial of service. Exploiting this vulnerability is possible when running Black on untrusted input, or if you habitually put thousands of leading tab characters in your docstrings.

CVE-2024-47888 1 Rails 1 Rails 2026-04-15 3.7 Low
Action Text brings rich text content and editing to Rails. Starting in version 6.0.0 and prior to versions 6.1.7.9, 7.0.8.5, 7.1.4.1, and 7.2.1.1, there is a possible ReDoS vulnerability in the `plain_text_for_blockquote_node helper` in Action Text. Carefully crafted text can cause the `plain_text_for_blockquote_node` helper to take an unexpected amount of time, possibly resulting in a DoS vulnerability. All users running an affected release should either upgrade to versions 6.1.7.9, 7.0.8.5, 7.1.4.1, or 7.2.1.1 or apply the relevant patch immediately. As a workaround, users can avoid calling `plain_text_for_blockquote_node` or upgrade to Ruby 3.2. Ruby 3.2 has mitigations for this problem, so Rails applications using Ruby 3.2 or newer are unaffected. Rails 8.0.0.beta1 depends on Ruby 3.2 or greater so is unaffected.
CVE-2024-38809 2 Redhat, Vmware 2 Apache Camel Spring Boot, Spring Framework 2026-04-15 5.3 Medium
Applications that parse ETags from "If-Match" or "If-None-Match" request headers are vulnerable to DoS attack. Users of affected versions should upgrade to the corresponding fixed version. Users of older, unsupported versions could enforce a size limit on "If-Match" and "If-None-Match" headers, e.g. through a Filter.
CVE-2024-46242 2026-04-15 7.5 High
An issue in the validate_email function in CTFd/utils/validators/__init__.py of CTFd 3.7.3 allows attackers to cause a Regular expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via supplying a crafted string as e-mail address during registration.
CVE-2024-39249 1 Redhat 4 Advanced Cluster Security, Openshift Data Foundation, Rhdh and 1 more 2026-04-15 7.5 High
Async <= 2.6.4 and <= 3.2.5 are vulnerable to ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service) while parsing function in autoinject function. NOTE: this is disputed by the supplier because there is no realistic threat model: regular expressions are not used with untrusted input.
CVE-2024-47887 1 Rubyonrails 1 Rails 2026-04-15 3.7 Low
Action Pack is a framework for handling and responding to web requests. Starting in version 4.0.0 and prior to versions 6.1.7.9, 7.0.8.5, 7.1.4.1, and 7.2.1.1, there is a possible ReDoS vulnerability in Action Controller's HTTP Token authentication. For applications using HTTP Token authentication via `authenticate_or_request_with_http_token` or similar, a carefully crafted header may cause header parsing to take an unexpected amount of time, possibly resulting in a DoS vulnerability. All users running an affected release should either upgrade to versions 6.1.7.9, 7.0.8.5, 7.1.4.1, or 7.2.1.1 or apply the relevant patch immediately. One may choose to use Ruby 3.2 as a workaround.Ruby 3.2 has mitigations for this problem, so Rails applications using Ruby 3.2 or newer are unaffected. Rails 8.0.0.beta1 depends on Ruby 3.2 or greater so is unaffected.
CVE-2025-58451 2026-04-15 N/A
Cattown is a JavaScript markdown parser. Versions prior to 1.0.2 used regular expressions with inefficient, potentially exponential worst-case complexity. This could cause excessive CPU usage due to excessive backtracking on crafted inputs. In turn, the excessive CPU usage could lead to resource exhaustion, where processing malicious inputs could cause high CPU or memory usage, potentially leading to denial of service. Version 1.0.2 contains a patch. Additionally, users should review and restrict input sources if untrusted inputs are processed.
CVE-2025-5890 2026-04-15 4.3 Medium
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in actions toolkit 0.5.0. This affects the function globEscape of the file toolkit/packages/glob/src/internal-pattern.ts of the component glob. The manipulation leads to inefficient regular expression complexity. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
CVE-2024-52524 1 Giskard-ai 1 Giskard 2026-04-15 N/A
Giskard is an evaluation and testing framework for AI systems. A Remote Code Execution (ReDoS) vulnerability was discovered in Giskard component by the GitHub Security Lab team. When processing datasets with specific text patterns with Giskard detectors, this vulnerability could trigger exponential regex evaluation times, potentially leading to denial of service. Giskard versions prior to 2.15.5 are affected.
CVE-2024-41655 2026-04-15 7.5 High
TF2 Item Format helps users format TF2 items to the community standards. Versions of `tf2-item-format` since at least `4.2.6` and prior to `5.9.14` are vulnerable to a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attack when parsing crafted user input. This vulnerability can be exploited by an attacker to perform DoS attacks on any service that uses any `tf2-item-format` to parse user input. Version `5.9.14` contains a fix for the issue.
CVE-2025-69873 2 Ajv-validator, Ajv.js 2 Ajv, Ajv 2026-04-15 2.9 Low
ajv (Another JSON Schema Validator) before 8.18.0 is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) when the $data option is enabled. The pattern keyword accepts runtime data via JSON Pointer syntax ($data reference), which is passed directly to the JavaScript RegExp() constructor without validation. An attacker can inject a malicious regex pattern (e.g., "^(a|a)*$") combined with crafted input to cause catastrophic backtracking. A 31-character payload causes approximately 44 seconds of CPU blocking, with each additional character doubling execution time. This enables complete denial of service with a single HTTP request against any API using ajv with $data: true for dynamic schema validation. This issue is also fixed in version 6.14.0.
CVE-2024-52798 2 Pillarjs, Redhat 8 Path-to-regexp, Apache Camel Hawtio, Discovery and 5 more 2026-04-15 5.3 Medium
path-to-regexp turns path strings into a regular expressions. In certain cases, path-to-regexp will output a regular expression that can be exploited to cause poor performance. The regular expression that is vulnerable to backtracking can be generated in the 0.1.x release of path-to-regexp. Upgrade to 0.1.12. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2024-45296.
CVE-2025-25290 2026-04-15 5.3 Medium
@octokit/request sends parameterized requests to GitHub’s APIs with sensible defaults in browsers and Node. Starting in version 1.0.0 and prior to versions 9.2.1 and 8.4.1, the regular expression `/<([^>]+)>; rel="deprecation"/` used to match the `link` header in HTTP responses is vulnerable to a ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service) attack. This vulnerability arises due to the unbounded nature of the regex's matching behavior, which can lead to catastrophic backtracking when processing specially crafted input. An attacker could exploit this flaw by sending a malicious `link` header, resulting in excessive CPU usage and potentially causing the server to become unresponsive, impacting service availability. Versions 9.2.1 and 8.4.1 fix the issue.
