A vulnerability exists in the NodeRestriction admission controller in Kubernetes clusters where node users can delete their corresponding node object by patching themselves with an OwnerReference to a cluster-scoped resource. If the OwnerReference resource does not exist or is subsequently deleted, the given node object will be deleted via garbage collection.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix ioremap issues in lpfc_sli4_pci_mem_setup() When if_type equals zero and pci_resource_start(pdev, PCI_64BIT_BAR4) returns false, drbl_regs_memmap_p is not remapped. This passes a NULL pointer to iounmap(), which can trigger a WARN() on certain arches. When if_type equals six and pci_resource_start(pdev, PCI_64BIT_BAR4) returns true, drbl_regs_memmap_p may has been remapped and ctrl_regs_memmap_p is not remapped. This is a resource leak and passes a NULL pointer to iounmap(). To fix these issues, we need to add null checks before iounmap(), and change some goto labels.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: hidraw: fix data race on device refcount The hidraw_open() function increments the hidraw device reference counter. The counter has no dedicated synchronization mechanism, resulting in a potential data race when concurrently opening a device. The race is a regression introduced by commit 8590222e4b02 ("HID: hidraw: Replace hidraw device table mutex with a rwsem"). While minors_rwsem is intended to protect the hidraw_table itself, by instead acquiring the lock for writing, the reference counter is also protected. This is symmetrical to hidraw_release().

It was found that within a critical section of spin_lock_irqsave in sidtab_context_to_sid(), convert_context() (hooked by sidtab_convert_params.func) might cause the process to sleep via allocating memory with GFP_KERNEL, which is problematic. As Ondrej pointed out [1], convert_context()/sidtab_convert_params.func has another caller sidtab_convert_tree(), which is okay with GFP_KERNEL. Therefore, fix this problem by adding a gfp_t argument for convert_context()/sidtab_convert_params.func and pass GFP_KERNEL/_ATOMIC properly in individual callers. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: qcom: smsm: Fix refcount leak bugs in qcom_smsm_probe() There are two refcount leak bugs in qcom_smsm_probe(): (1) The 'local_node' is escaped out from for_each_child_of_node() as the break of iteration, we should call of_node_put() for it in error path or when it is not used anymore. (2) The 'node' is escaped out from for_each_available_child_of_node() as the 'goto', we should call of_node_put() for it in goto target.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: set tx_tstamps when creating new Tx rings via ethtool When the user changes the number of queues via ethtool, the driver allocates new rings. This allocation did not initialize tx_tstamps. This results in the tx_tstamps field being zero (due to kcalloc allocation), and would result in a NULL pointer dereference when attempting a transmit timestamp on the new ring.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix pci device refcount leak As comment of pci_get_domain_bus_and_slot() says, it returns a pci device with refcount increment, when finish using it, the caller must decrement the reference count by calling pci_dev_put(). So before returning from amdgpu_device_resume|suspend_display_audio(), pci_dev_put() is called to avoid refcount leak.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/apic: Don't disable x2APIC if locked The APIC supports two modes, legacy APIC (or xAPIC), and Extended APIC (or x2APIC). X2APIC mode is mostly compatible with legacy APIC, but it disables the memory-mapped APIC interface in favor of one that uses MSRs. The APIC mode is controlled by the EXT bit in the APIC MSR. The MMIO/xAPIC interface has some problems, most notably the APIC LEAK [1]. This bug allows an attacker to use the APIC MMIO interface to extract data from the SGX enclave. Introduce support for a new feature that will allow the BIOS to lock the APIC in x2APIC mode. If the APIC is locked in x2APIC mode and the kernel tries to disable the APIC or revert to legacy APIC mode a GP fault will occur. Introduce support for a new MSR (IA32_XAPIC_DISABLE_STATUS) and handle the new locked mode when the LEGACY_XAPIC_DISABLED bit is set by preventing the kernel from trying to disable the x2APIC. On platforms with the IA32_XAPIC_DISABLE_STATUS MSR, if SGX or TDX are enabled the LEGACY_XAPIC_DISABLED will be set by the BIOS.
