CVE-2026-59696 1 Erlang 3 Erlang/otp, Erlang\/otp, Otp 2026-09-01 N/A
Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in Erlang/OTP stdlib allows a remote attacker to degrade availability by supplying a URI whose port component is a very long run of digits. uri_string:get_port/1 passes the port substring to binary_to_integer/1 with no length bound, catching only error:badarg, so a syntactically valid port of up to roughly 1.26 million digits converts successfully and costs the calling process hundreds of milliseconds of arbitrary-precision arithmetic. The conversion is reached from every authority-parsing path in uri_string:parse/1, including the host, registered-name, and IPv4 and IPv6 forms. parse/1 is the documented interface for parsing URIs, so any application that parses an attacker-supplied URI is exposed without further configuration. The conversion function is documented to accept integers of any size, so bounding the input is the caller's responsibility. This issue affects OTP from OTP 21.0 before OTP 27.3.4.17, from OTP 28.0 before OTP 28.5.0.6, and from OTP 29.0 before OTP 29.0.6, corresponding to stdlib from 3.5 before 6.2.2.5, from 7.0 before 7.3.0.2, and from 8.0 before 8.0.4.
CVE-2026-70409 1 Erlang 2 Erlang/otp, Erlang\/otp 2026-09-01 5.3 Medium
Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in Erlang/OTP eldap allows a malicious or compromised LDAP server to degrade availability by returning a referral URL whose port component is a very long run of digits. eldap:parse_port/2 passes the port substring straight to list_to_integer/1 with no length bound. The surrounding try ... catch only rejects a value that fails to parse, so a syntactically valid port of up to roughly 1.26 million digits converts successfully and costs the caller hundreds of milliseconds of arbitrary-precision arithmetic per referral. The conversion function itself is documented to accept integers of any size, so bounding the input is the caller's responsibility. Reaching the flaw requires the application to pass a server-supplied referral to eldap:parse_ldap_url/1, which eldap never calls itself: referral strings are returned to the caller unparsed. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 27.3.4.17, from OTP 28.0 before OTP 28.5.0.6, and from OTP 29.0 before OTP 29.0.6, corresponding to eldap from 1.0.3 before 1.2.14.2, from 1.2.15 before 1.2.16.1, and from 1.3 before 1.3.1.
CVE-2026-82734 1 Ash-project 1 Ash 2026-09-01 N/A
Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an attacker to submit a non-finite decimal value that bypasses numeric bounds constraints or fails later operations on the value. Ash.Type.Decimal cast input through Ecto's decimal cast in cast_input/2 and cast_stored/2 (lib/ash/type/decimal.ex) without checking that the resulting value is finite. Elixir's Decimal represents Infinity and NaN as valid structs, so a value such as "Infinity" or "NaN" passed casting and was persisted. Because NaN compares as false against every bound, min and max constraints do not reject it, and the stored special value later raises when used in Decimal arithmetic or is refused by the data layer, failing subsequent requests. The fix rejects any non-finite Decimal during casting. This issue affects ash: from 1.28.0 before 3.32.2.
CVE-2026-83557 1 Fasterxml 1 Jackson-databind 2026-09-01 5.6 Medium
DefaultBaseTypeLimitingValidator is the PolymorphicTypeValidator applied automatically whenever @JsonTypeInfo is used without an explicitly configured custom validator. It denies polymorphic resolution only for a fixed set of "unsafe base types", and its isSafeSubType method returns true unconditionally for every base type outside that set. java.lang.Comparable was absent from the list despite being implemented by a very large fraction of JDK and application classes, comparable in breadth to java.io.Serializable, which is on the list for that reason. An application declaring an @JsonTypeInfo-annotated property or class with Comparable as its base type, and no custom PolymorphicTypeValidator, will accept a type identifier for essentially any class implementing Comparable. This yields an attacker-controlled object instantiation primitive; a demonstrated case constructs a java.io.File for an arbitrary attacker-chosen path, which becomes path-traversal-adjacent if the application subsequently calls path-sensitive methods on the value. No class implementing Comparable has been identified that yields code execution through deserialization alone. Global Default Typing via activateDefaultTyping is not affected, because that method structurally requires an explicit PolymorphicTypeValidator argument. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.11.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. Users should upgrade to 2.18.10, 2.21.6, 2.22.2, 3.1.6, or 3.2.2.
CVE-2026-83611 1 Xmldom 1 Xmldom 2026-09-01 5.3 Medium
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, DOMParser.parseFromString() can silently accept an end tag such as </a\njunk>, close the element, and discard the trailing content. On 0.9.x, the lib/sax.js end-tag validator inherits the multiline flag from reg(), allowing the first line to satisfy the anchored XML ETag production; older lines have no equivalent residue validation. This parser differential can bypass a parse-before-trust well-formedness gate, although it does not inject the discarded content; onError on 0.9.x and errorHandler on 0.8.x are the relevant reporting interfaces. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12; no fixed version is available for xmldom.
CVE-2026-19953 1 Libwww-perl 1 Uri 2026-09-01 6.5 Medium
URI versions before 5.36 for Perl encode non-NFC host names to non-standard punycode labels via missing normalization in nameprep. nameprep lowercases each host label but performs no Unicode normalization. IDNA requires a label to be normalized to Form C before it is encoded (RFC 5891), so a label that is not already in NFC is encoded to a different A-label than its normalized form. A label built from the precomposed Devanagari sequence U+0958 U+093E encodes to xn--72b5c without normalization but to xn--11b2fg after NFC normalization, and xn--72b5c does not round-trip back to the original label. Any caller that reads host() from a URI built from untrusted input and uses it for a security decision (an allow or deny list, an SSRF filter, deduplication, a cache key) sees the non-standard label, while a client that fetches the same URL resolves the NFC form, so the check and the fetch can disagree about the host.
CVE-2026-33605 1 Open-xchange 2 Ox Dovecot Ce, Ox Dovecot Pro 2026-09-01 7.5 High
An unauthenticated attacker can crash the ManageSieve login process by sending a small malformed command before authenticating. If running in high-security mode (default for community releases), only the attacker's own connection is terminated. If running in high-performance mode (default for Pro releases), all connections handled by the same managesieve-login process are terminated. Repeating the attack can cause denial of service for Sieve script management. Restrict network access to the ManageSieve service to trusted clients. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.
CVE-2026-81779 2 Silk Themes, Wordpress 2 Newspapers X, Wordpress 2026-09-01 10 Critical
Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in Silk Themes Newspapers X allows Malicious Software Implanted. This issue affects Newspapers X: from 1.0.46 through 1.0.48.
CVE-2026-59680 1 Suse 1 Yast2-users 2026-09-01 8 High
An OS command injection vulnerability was found in yast2-users. When displaying the "Password Settings" tab of a user, get_password_term() in src/include/users/dialogs.rb read the shadowLastChange and shadowExpire fields with GetString(), which performs no numeric validation, and passed the resulting string to format_days_after_epoch(). That helper interpolated the value into a shell command executed via Ruby backticks without quoting or escaping. Impact: an administrator who manages users against an external/federated LDAP directory via `yast2 users` triggers root command execution the moment they view or edit that particular user's "Password Settings" tab. No "join domain" or trust setup is required, just browsing/editing one user entry. This issue affects yast2-users through 5.0.8.
CVE-2026-19873 1 Formfu 1 Html-formfu 2026-09-01 7.5 High
HTML::FormFu versions through 2.08 for Perl allow resource exhaustion via an unbounded repeat count from the query string in Repeatable elements. When a Repeatable element has counter_name set, its process method reads the repeat count from the named query string parameter, checks only that it is a positive integer, and passes it to repeat, which deep-clones the element's child subtree once per iteration. Nothing caps the value, and no attribute lets an application impose a limit. The count is read on every request, before the form decides whether it was submitted, so a plain GET reaches the clone loop with no credentials, no session and no request body. Nesting multiplies: a Repeatable inside a Repeatable takes a counter at each level, so an outer and an inner value of 100 build 10,000 clones. Once the form is submitted, each cloned field's constraints scan the whole element tree in _find_field_value, so cost grows faster than linearly with the count. A single request exhausts memory and CPU. The latest release on CPAN is 2.07, from 2018. Version 2.08 exists only in the git repository.
CVE-2026-76763 1 Redhat 2 Build Of Quarkus, Quarkus 2026-08-31 7.5 High
A flaw was found in SmallRye GraphQL. The number scalar coercion for BigInteger does not properly validate the magnitude of float or string inputs. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending a GraphQL query containing a large exponent float literal. This can lead to the allocation of extremely large BigInteger objects, causing CPU exhaustion or an OutOfMemoryError, resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2026-82417 1 Ljharb 1 Qs 2026-08-31 5.3 Medium
### Summary `qs.stringify` throws a `TypeError` when it serializes an object whose own `constructor` property has a truthy, non-callable `isBuffer` member. `utils.isBuffer` duck-types buffers by calling `obj.constructor.isBuffer(obj)` after checking only that the property is truthy, so a value such as `{ constructor: { isBuffer: "x" } }` makes the call throw `TypeError: obj.constructor.isBuffer is not a function`. ### Details `lib/stringify.js:127` calls `utils.isBuffer` on every non-primitive value it serializes. `utils.isBuffer` (`lib/utils.js:332`) reads `obj.constructor.isBuffer` and invokes it without verifying that it is a function. `constructor` and `isBuffer` are ordinary property names, so any object carrying them as own properties reaches the unchecked call. Such an object can be built from untrusted input. `qs.parse("x[constructor][isBuffer]=y", { plainObjects: true })` or `{ allowPrototypes: true }` keeps the `constructor` key as an own property (the default parse options drop it), and `JSON.parse("{\"a\":{\"constructor\":{\"isBuffer\":\"x\"}}}")` produces the same shape with no qs option involved. Express 4 with its default `query parser` setting and body-parser with `extended: true` both call `qs.parse` with `allowPrototypes: true`, so on those stacks `req.query` and `req.body` can carry the shape directly. #### PoC ```js var qs = require("qs"); qs.stringify(qs.parse("x[constructor][isBuffer]=y", { plainObjects: true })); qs.stringify(JSON.parse("{\"a\":{\"constructor\":{\"isBuffer\":\"x\"}}}")); // TypeError: obj.constructor.isBuffer is not a function // at Object.isBuffer (lib/utils.js:332:78) // at stringify (lib/stringify.js:127:45) ``` #### Fix `lib/utils.js`, applied in e83d321 on `main` and released as v6.16.0: ```diff - return !!(obj.constructor && obj.constructor.isBuffer && obj.constructor.isBuffer(obj)); + return !!(obj.constructor && typeof obj.constructor.isBuffer === "function" && obj.constructor.isBuffer(obj)); ``` Real `Buffer`, `safer-buffer`, and browserify `buffer` polyfill instances serialize exactly as before; only the throw is removed. ### Affected versions `>=2.2.5 <6.16.0`, fixed in v6.16.0. The unguarded duck-type was introduced in 3768a75 and first shipped in v2.2.5 (September 2014). v2.2.4 and earlier used `Buffer.isBuffer` and are not affected. Every release from v2.2.5 through v6.15.3 contains the unguarded call. ### Impact An unauthenticated request can make any code path that re-serializes attacker-influenced data with `qs.stringify` (for example, rebuilding a query string from `req.query` for a redirect or an upstream request, or serializing a parsed JSON body) throw synchronously. In a typical Node.js HTTP framework the throw is caught by the framework error boundary and the affected request returns a 500; the process survives and other requests are unaffected. Where the call runs outside an error boundary, such as an `async` Express 4 handler (where the throw becomes an unhandled promise rejection) or a background job, the process exits, so the impact in that case depends on the application error handling rather than on qs.
CVE-2026-7487 1 Gitlab 1 Gitlab 2026-08-31 3.5 Low
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 13.1 before 19.1.7, 19.2 before 19.2.5, and 19.3 before 19.3.1 that, under certain conditions, an authenticated user with reporter-role permissions who authored a merge request could have reset merge request approval rules due to improper authorization checks.
CVE-2026-80670 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-31 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf tools: Use perf_env__get_cpu_topology() in machine__resolve() machine__resolve() accesses env->cpu[al->cpu].socket_id after checking al->cpu >= 0 and env->cpu != NULL, but without validating al->cpu against env->nr_cpus_avail. Since al->cpu comes from the untrusted perf.data sample, a crafted file with a large CPU index causes an out-of-bounds heap read. Use perf_env__get_cpu_topology() which validates both NULL and bounds. Also bounds-check al->cpu before the cast to struct perf_cpu (int16_t): without this, values like 65536 silently truncate to 0, bypassing the accessor's internal check and returning CPU 0's topology.
CVE-2026-32285 2 Buger, Jsonparser Project 2 Jsonparser, Jsonparser 2026-08-31 7.5 High
The Delete function fails to properly validate offsets when processing malformed JSON input. This can lead to a negative slice index and a runtime panic, allowing a denial of service attack.
CVE-2026-18794 1 Calcprogrammer1 1 Openrgb 2026-08-28 8.2 High
The OpenRGB network protocol allows attackers to cause memory exhaustion and out-of-bounds memory reads and writes by passing inconsistent data.
CVE-2025-51679 1 Openrisc 1 Or1200 2026-08-28 9.1 Critical
An issue was discovered in openRISC OR1200 commit 83ac6b. A mismatch between the RTL and netlist can lead to unexpected behavior.
CVE-2026-78010 1 Watchguard 1 Fireware Os 2026-08-28 N/A
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS iked process iallows a remote unauthenticated attacker to create a Denial of Service (DoS) condition in VPN processing by sending specially crafted network traffic.
CVE-2026-74742 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: veth: fix queue index used to wake the peer txq in veth_poll veth_poll() derives the index of the peer TX queue to wake from rq->xdp_rxq.queue_index. That field is only initialized by xdp_rxq_info_reg() in veth_enable_xdp_range(), which runs only when an XDP program is attached. On the plain GRO/NAPI path (veth_napi_enable_range()) xdp_rxq_info_reg() is never called, so queue_index stays 0 for every queue, as priv->rq is zero-allocated. So in a multi-queue setup with GRO enabled and no XDP program attached, every NAPI instance looks at the peer's TX queue 0. If veth_xmit() stops peer TX queue 1 because the ptr_ring is full (NETDEV_TX_BUSY), nothing ever wakes it again: the poller draining queue 1 wakes queue 0 instead. veth implements no ndo_tx_timeout, so the netdev watchdog does not kick in either, and the queue stays stopped indefinitely. Derive the index from the position of the rq within priv->rq instead, which is correct regardless of whether XDP was ever enabled. Scripts to reproduce the stall are available at https://github.com/netoptimizer/veth-backpressure-performance-testing
CVE-2026-80592 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: samples/damon/mtier: fail early if address range parameters are invalid The comment on top of `struct damon_region` clearly says that For any use case, @ar should be non-zero positive size. which is now verified in damon_verify_new_region() if the kernel is built with DAMON_DEBUG_SANITY. The WARN_ONCE() can be triggered if the mtier sample module is enabled before node{0,1}_{start,end}_addr have been properly initialized, which is obviously not good. ------------[ cut here ]------------ start 0 >= end 0 WARNING: mm/damon/core.c:217 at damon_new_region+0xf4/0x118, CPU#59: bash/341468 Call trace: damon_new_region+0xf4/0x118 (P) damon_set_regions+0xfc/0x3c0 damon_sample_mtier_build_ctx+0xe8/0x3a8 damon_sample_mtier_start+0x1c/0x90 damon_sample_mtier_enable_store+0x98/0xb0 param_attr_store+0xb4/0x128 module_attr_store+0x2c/0x50 sysfs_kf_write+0x58/0x90 kernfs_fop_write_iter+0x16c/0x238 vfs_write+0x2c0/0x370 ksys_write+0x74/0x118 __arm64_sys_write+0x24/0x38 invoke_syscall+0xa8/0x118 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0x48/0xf0 do_el0_svc+0x24/0x38 el0_svc+0x54/0x370 el0t_64_sync_handler+0xa0/0xe8 el0t_64_sync+0x1ac/0x1b0 ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- Note that the same issue can happen if detect_node_addresses is true, and node 0 or 1 is memoryless.
