Vladimir Kononovich, a Security Researcher has found a flaw that allows for a remote code execution on the DVR. An attacker could inject malicious HTTP headers into request packets to execute arbitrary code. The manufacturer has released patch firmware for the flaw, please refer to the manufacturer's report for details and workarounds.

| Multiple functions use archives without properly validating the filenames therein, rendering the application vulnerable to path traversal via 'zip slip' attacks.
An administrator able to provide tampered archives to be processed by the affected versions of Arc may be able to have arbitrary files extracted to arbitrary filesystem locations. Leveraging this issue, an attacker may be able to overwrite arbitrary files on the target filesystem and cause critical impacts on the system (e.g., arbitrary command execution on the victim’s machine). |
| UltraVNC Viewer 1.2.4.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by manipulating VNC Server input. Attackers can generate a malformed 256-byte payload and paste it into the VNC Server connection dialog to trigger an application crash. |
| ZOC Terminal 7.25.5 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the private key file input field that allows attackers to crash the application. Attackers can overwrite the private key file input with a 2000-byte buffer, causing the application to become unresponsive when attempting to create SSH key files. |

Christoph found out this is due to the poisoning code not dealing
properly with CONFIG_HIGHMEM because only the first page is mapped but
then the whole potentially high-order page is accessed.
We could give up on HIGHMEM here, but it's straightforward to fix this
with a loop that's mapping, poisoning or checking and unmapping
individual pages. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFS: Fix LTP test failures when timestamps are delegated
The utimes01 and utime06 tests fail when delegated timestamps are
enabled, specifically in subtests that modify the atime and mtime
fields using the 'nobody' user ID.
The problem can be reproduced as follow:
# echo "/media *(rw,no_root_squash,sync)" >> /etc/exports
# export -ra
# mount -o rw,nfsvers=4.2 127.0.0.1:/media /tmpdir
# cd /opt/ltp
# ./runltp -d /tmpdir -s utimes01
# ./runltp -d /tmpdir -s utime06
This issue occurs because nfs_setattr does not verify the inode's
UID against the caller's fsuid when delegated timestamps are
permitted for the inode.
This patch adds the UID check and if it does not match then the
request is sent to the server for permission checking. |
| Odin Secure FTP Expert 7.6.3 contains a local denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by manipulating site information fields. Attackers can generate a buffer overflow by pasting 108 bytes of repeated characters into connection fields, causing the application to crash. |
| On Unix systems (Linux, MacOS), Arc uses a temporary file with unsafe privileges.
By tampering with such file, a malicious local user in the system may be able to trigger arbitrary code execution with root privileges. |
| 10-Strike Network Inventory Explorer 8.54 contains a structured exception handler buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by overwriting SEH records. Attackers can craft a malicious payload targeting the 'Computer' parameter during the 'Add' function to trigger remote code execution. |
| In Faust 2.23.1, an input file with the lines "// r visualisation tCst" and "//process = +: L: abM-^Q;" and "process = route(3333333333333333333,2,1,2,3,1) : *;" leads to stack consumption. |
| Improper Authentication vulnerability in Snow Software AB Snow License Manager on Windows allows a networked attacker to perform an Authentication Bypass if Active Directory Authentication is enabled. This issue affects Snow License Manager: from 9.33.2 through 9.34.0.
|
| BlueAuditor 1.7.2.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the registration name input field that allows attackers to crash the application. Attackers can generate a 1000-character buffer payload and paste it into the 'Name' field to trigger an application crash. |
| ASUS routers supporting custom OpenVPN profiles are vulnerable to a code execution vulnerability. An authenticated and remote attacker can execute arbitrary operating system commands by uploading a crafted OVPN profile. Known affected routers include ASUS ExpertWiFi, ASUS RT-AX55, ASUS RT-AX58U, ASUS RT-AC67U, ASUS RT-AC68R, ASUS RT-AC68U, ASUS RT-AX86, ASUS RT-AC86U, ASUS RT-AX88U, and ASUS RT-AX3000. |
| Duplicate Cleaner Pro 4.1.3 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by injecting an oversized buffer into the license key field. Attackers can generate a 6000-byte payload and paste it into the license activation field to trigger an application crash. |
| NetworkSleuth 3.0.0.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by supplying an oversized registration key. Attackers can generate a 1000-character buffer payload and paste it into the registration key field to trigger an application crash. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in ThemeGoods Craft craftcoffee allows DOM-Based XSS.This issue affects Craft: from n/a through <= 2.3.6. |
| Office Product Key Finder 1.5.4 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by manipulating the registration code input. Attackers can create a specially crafted text file and paste it into the 'Name and Key' field to trigger an application crash. |
| When configuring Arc (e.g. during the first setup), a local web interface is provided to ease the configuration process. Such web interface lacks authentication and may thus be abused by a local attacker or malware running on the machine itself.
A malicious local user or process, during a window of opportunity when the local web interface is active, may be able to extract sensitive information or change Arc's configuration. This could also lead to arbitrary code execution if a malicious update package is installed. |
| A TLS certificate verification issue discovered in cortex v0.42.1 allows attackers to obtain sensitive information via the makeOperatorRequest function. |
