CVSS v3.1 |
Untrusted Java serialization in Soffid IAM console before 1.7.5 allows remote attackers to achieve arbitrary remote code execution via a crafted authentication request.
The Reporting Compatibility Add On before 2.0.4 for OpenMRS, as distributed in OpenMRS Reference Application before 2.6.1, does not authenticate users when deserializing XML input into ReportSchema objects. The result is that remote unauthenticated users are able to execute operating system commands by crafting malicious XML payloads, as demonstrated by a single admin/reports/reportSchemaXml.form request.
The Apache XML-RPC (aka ws-xmlrpc) library 3.1.3, as used in Apache Archiva, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized Java object in an <ex:serializable> element.
An issue was discovered in the serialize-to-js package 0.5.0 for Node.js. Untrusted data passed into the deserialize() function can be exploited to achieve arbitrary code execution by passing a JavaScript Object with an Immediately Invoked Function Expression (IIFE).
The JIRA Workflow Designer Plugin in Atlassian JIRA Server before 6.3.0 improperly uses an XML parser and deserializer, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, read arbitrary files, or cause a denial of service via a crafted serialized Java object.
RubyGems versions between 2.0.0 and 2.6.13 are vulnerable to a possible remote code execution vulnerability. YAML deserialization of gem specifications can bypass class white lists. Specially crafted serialized objects can possibly be used to escalate to remote code execution.
CrushFTP 8.x before 8.2.0 has a serialization vulnerability.
PHPMemcachedAdmin 1.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via vectors related "serialized data and the last part of the concatenated filename," which creates a file in webroot.
ERS Data System 1.8.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, related to "com.branaghgroup.ecers.update.UpdateRequest" object deserialization.
The EjbObjectInputStream class in Apache TomEE before 1.7.4 and 7.x before 7.0.0-M3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized object.
The remoting module in Jenkins before 2.32 and LTS before 2.19.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized Java object, which triggers an LDAP query to a third-party server.
In PHP before 5.6.31, an invalid free in the WDDX deserialization of boolean parameters could be used by attackers able to inject XML for deserialization to crash the PHP interpreter, related to an invalid free for an empty boolean element in ext/wddx/wddx.c.
Adobe ColdFusion has an Untrusted Data Deserialization vulnerability. This affects Update 4 and earlier versions for ColdFusion 2016, and Update 12 and earlier versions for ColdFusion 11.
Apache Brooklyn uses the SnakeYAML library for parsing YAML inputs. SnakeYAML allows the use of YAML tags to indicate that SnakeYAML should unmarshal data to a Java type. In the default configuration in Brooklyn before 0.10.0, SnakeYAML will allow unmarshalling to any Java type available on the classpath. This could provide an authenticated user with a means to cause the JVM running Brooklyn to load and run Java code without detection by Brooklyn. Such code would have the privileges of the Java process running Brooklyn, including the ability to open files and network connections, and execute system commands. There is known to be a proof-of-concept exploit using this vulnerability.
The xdr_bytes and xdr_string functions in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.25 mishandle failures of buffer deserialization, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (virtual memory allocation, or memory consumption if an overcommit setting is not used) via a crafted UDP packet to port 111, a related issue to CVE-2017-8779. NOTE: [Information provided from upstream and references
QOS.ch Logback before 1.2.0 has a serialization vulnerability affecting the SocketServer and ServerSocketReceiver components.
SerializableProvider in RESTEasy in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux HPC Node 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Versions of Puppet prior to 4.10.1 will deserialize data off the wire (from the agent to the server, in this case) with a attacker-specified format. This could be used to force YAML deserialization in an unsafe manner, which would lead to remote code execution. This change constrains the format of data on the wire to PSON or safely decoded YAML.
IdeaBlade Breeze Breeze.Server.NET before 1.6.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, related to use of TypeNameHandling in JSON deserialization.
The AMF unmarshallers in Red5 Media Server before 1.0.8 do not restrict the classes for which it performs deserialization, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted serialized Java data.
