CVE-2023-53833 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915: Fix NULL ptr deref by checking new_crtc_state intel_atomic_get_new_crtc_state can return NULL, unless crtc state wasn't obtained previously with intel_atomic_get_crtc_state, so we must check it for NULLness here, just as in many other places, where we can't guarantee that intel_atomic_get_crtc_state was called. We are currently getting NULL ptr deref because of that, so this fix was confirmed to help. (cherry picked from commit 1d5b09f8daf859247a1ea65b0d732a24d88980d8)
CVE-2023-53834 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: ina2xx: avoid NULL pointer dereference on OF device match The affected lines were resulting in a NULL pointer dereference on our platform because the device tree contained the following list of compatible strings: power-sensor@40 { compatible = "ti,ina232", "ti,ina231"; ... }; Since the driver doesn't declare a compatible string "ti,ina232", the OF matching succeeds on "ti,ina231". But the I2C device ID info is populated via the first compatible string, cf. modalias population in of_i2c_get_board_info(). Since there is no "ina232" entry in the legacy I2C device ID table either, the struct i2c_device_id *id pointer in the probe function is NULL. Fix this by using the already populated type variable instead, which points to the proper driver data. Since the name is also wanted, add a generic one to the ina2xx_config table.
CVE-2025-40109 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: rng - Ensure set_ent is always present Ensure that set_ent is always set since only drbg provides it.
CVE-2025-68205 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/hdmi: Fix breakage at probing nvhdmi-mcp driver After restructuring and splitting the HDMI codec driver code, each HDMI codec driver contains the own build_controls and build_pcms ops. A copy-n-paste error put the wrong entries for nvhdmi-mcp driver; both build_controls and build_pcms are swapped. Unfortunately both callbacks have the very same form, and the compiler didn't complain it, either. This resulted in a NULL dereference because the PCM instance hasn't been initialized at calling the build_controls callback. Fix it by passing the proper entries.
CVE-2023-53695 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udf: Detect system inodes linked into directory hierarchy When UDF filesystem is corrupted, hidden system inodes can be linked into directory hierarchy which is an avenue for further serious corruption of the filesystem and kernel confusion as noticed by syzbot fuzzed images. Refuse to access system inodes linked into directory hierarchy and vice versa.
CVE-2025-40293 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Don't overflow during division for dirty tracking If pgshift is 63 then BITS_PER_TYPE(*bitmap->bitmap) * pgsize will overflow to 0 and this triggers divide by 0. In this case the index should just be 0, so reorganize things to divide by shift and avoid hitting any overflows.
CVE-2025-40296 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: int3472: Fix double free of GPIO device during unregister regulator_unregister() already frees the associated GPIO device. On ThinkPad X9 (Lunar Lake), this causes a double free issue that leads to random failures when other drivers (typically Intel THC) attempt to allocate interrupts. The root cause is that the reference count of the pinctrl_intel_platform module unexpectedly drops to zero when this driver defers its probe. This behavior can also be reproduced by unloading the module directly. Fix the issue by removing the redundant release of the GPIO device during regulator unregistration.
CVE-2025-40299 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: Implement gettimex64 with -EOPNOTSUPP gve implemented a ptp_clock for sole use of do_aux_work at this time. ptp_clock_gettime() and ptp_sys_offset() assume every ptp_clock has implemented either gettimex64 or gettime64. Stub gettimex64 and return -EOPNOTSUPP to prevent NULL dereferencing.
CVE-2023-53836 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, sockmap: Fix skb refcnt race after locking changes There is a race where skb's from the sk_psock_backlog can be referenced after userspace side has already skb_consumed() the sk_buff and its refcnt dropped to zer0 causing use after free. The flow is the following: while ((skb = skb_peek(&psock->ingress_skb)) sk_psock_handle_Skb(psock, skb, ..., ingress) if (!ingress) ... sk_psock_skb_ingress sk_psock_skb_ingress_enqueue(skb) msg->skb = skb sk_psock_queue_msg(psock, msg) skb_dequeue(&psock->ingress_skb) The sk_psock_queue_msg() puts the msg on the ingress_msg queue. This is what the application reads when recvmsg() is called. An application can read this anytime after the msg is placed on the queue. The recvmsg hook will also read msg->skb and then after user space reads the msg will call consume_skb(skb) on it effectively free'ing it. But, the race is in above where backlog queue still has a reference to the skb and calls skb_dequeue(). If the skb_dequeue happens after the user reads and free's the skb we have a use after free. The !ingress case does not suffer from this problem because it uses sendmsg_*(sk, msg) which does not pass the sk_buff further down the stack. The following splat was observed with 'test_progs -t sockmap_listen': [ 1022.710250][ T2556] general protection fault, ... This bumps the skb->users refcnt so that consume_skb() and kfree_skb will not immediately free the sk_buff. With this we can be sure the skb is still around when we do the dequeue. Then we just need to decrement the refcnt or free the skb in the backlog case which we do by calling kfree_skb() on the ingress case as well as the sendmsg case. Before locking change from fixes tag we had the sock locked so we couldn't race with user and there was no issue here.
CVE-2025-40302 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: videobuf2: forbid remove_bufs when legacy fileio is active vb2_ioctl_remove_bufs() call manipulates queue internal buffer list, potentially overwriting some pointers used by the legacy fileio access mode. Forbid that ioctl when fileio is active to protect internal queue state between subsequent read/write calls.

CVE-2025-40303 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: ensure no dirty metadata is written back for an fs with errors [BUG] During development of a minor feature (make sure all btrfs_bio::end_io() is called in task context), I noticed a crash in generic/388, where metadata writes triggered new works after btrfs_stop_all_workers(). It turns out that it can even happen without any code modification, just using RAID5 for metadata and the same workload from generic/388 is going to trigger the use-after-free. [CAUSE] If btrfs hits an error, the fs is marked as error, no new transaction is allowed thus metadata is in a frozen state. But there are some metadata modifications before that error, and they are still in the btree inode page cache. Since there will be no real transaction commit, all those dirty folios are just kept as is in the page cache, and they can not be invalidated by invalidate_inode_pages2() call inside close_ctree(), because they are dirty. And finally after btrfs_stop_all_workers(), we call iput() on btree inode, which triggers writeback of those dirty metadata. And if the fs is using RAID56 metadata, this will trigger RMW and queue new works into rmw_workers, which is already stopped, causing warning from queue_work() and use-after-free. [FIX] Add a special handling for write_one_eb(), that if the fs is already in an error state, immediately mark the bbio as failure, instead of really submitting them. Then during close_ctree(), iput() will just discard all those dirty tree blocks without really writing them back, thus no more new jobs for already stopped-and-freed workqueues. The extra discard in write_one_eb() also acts as an extra safenet. E.g. the transaction abort is triggered by some extent/free space tree corruptions, and since extent/free space tree is already corrupted some tree blocks may be allocated where they shouldn't be (overwriting existing tree blocks). In that case writing them back will further corrupting the fs.

CVE-2025-40307 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exfat: validate cluster allocation bits of the allocation bitmap syzbot created an exfat image with cluster bits not set for the allocation bitmap. exfat-fs reads and uses the allocation bitmap without checking this. The problem is that if the start cluster of the allocation bitmap is 6, cluster 6 can be allocated when creating a directory with mkdir. exfat zeros out this cluster in exfat_mkdir, which can delete existing entries. This can reallocate the allocated entries. In addition, the allocation bitmap is also zeroed out, so cluster 6 can be reallocated. This patch adds exfat_test_bitmap_range to validate that clusters used for the allocation bitmap are correctly marked as in-use.

CVE-2025-40314 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: cdns3: gadget: Use-after-free during failed initialization and exit of cdnsp gadget In the __cdnsp_gadget_init() and cdnsp_gadget_exit() functions, the gadget structure (pdev->gadget) was freed before its endpoints. The endpoints are linked via the ep_list in the gadget structure. Freeing the gadget first leaves dangling pointers in the endpoint list. When the endpoints are subsequently freed, this results in a use-after-free. Fix: By separating the usb_del_gadget_udc() operation into distinct "del" and "put" steps, cdnsp_gadget_free_endpoints() can be executed prior to the final release of the gadget structure with usb_put_gadget(). A patch similar to bb9c74a5bd14("usb: dwc3: gadget: Free gadget structure only after freeing endpoints").
CVE-2025-68807 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: fix race between wbt_enable_default and IO submission When wbt_enable_default() is moved out of queue freezing in elevator_change(), it can cause the wbt inflight counter to become negative (-1), leading to hung tasks in the writeback path. Tasks get stuck in wbt_wait() because the counter is in an inconsistent state. The issue occurs because wbt_enable_default() could race with IO submission, allowing the counter to be decremented before proper initialization. This manifests as: rq_wait[0]: inflight: -1 has_waiters: True rwb_enabled() checks the state, which can be updated exactly between wbt_wait() (rq_qos_throttle()) and wbt_track()(rq_qos_track()), then the inflight counter will become negative. And results in hung task warnings like: task:kworker/u24:39 state:D stack:0 pid:14767 Call Trace: rq_qos_wait+0xb4/0x150 wbt_wait+0xa9/0x100 __rq_qos_throttle+0x24/0x40 blk_mq_submit_bio+0x672/0x7b0 ... Splitting wbt_enable_default() into: - __wbt_enable_default(): Returns true if wbt_init() should be called - wbt_enable_default(): Wrapper for existing callers (no init) - wbt_init_enable_default(): New function that checks and inits WBT 2. Using wbt_init_enable_default() in blk_register_queue() to ensure proper initialization during queue registration 3. Move wbt_init() out of wbt_enable_default() which is only for enabling disabled wbt from bfq and iocost, and wbt_init() isn't needed. Then the original lock warning can be avoided. 4. Removing the ELEVATOR_FLAG_ENABLE_WBT_ON_EXIT flag and its handling code since it's no longer needed This ensures WBT is properly initialized before any IO can be submitted, preventing the counter from going negative.
CVE-2025-40316 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix device use-after-free on unbind A recent change fixed device reference leaks when looking up drm platform device driver data during bind() but failed to remove a partial fix which had been added by commit 80805b62ea5b ("drm/mediatek: Fix kobject put for component sub-drivers"). This results in a reference imbalance on component bind() failures and on unbind() which could lead to a user-after-free. Make sure to only drop the references after retrieving the driver data by effectively reverting the previous partial fix. Note that holding a reference to a device does not prevent its driver data from going away so there is no point in keeping the reference.
CVE-2025-40317 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regmap: slimbus: fix bus_context pointer in regmap init calls Commit 4e65bda8273c ("ASoC: wcd934x: fix error handling in wcd934x_codec_parse_data()") revealed the problem in the slimbus regmap. It should be just "slimbus" (which is equal to &slimbus->dev). Correct it. The wcd934x codec seems to be the only or the first user of devm_regmap_init_slimbus() but we should fix it till the point where __devm_regmap_init_slimbus() was introduced therefore two "Fixes" tags. While at this, also correct the same argument in __regmap_init_slimbus().
