| A path traversal vulnerability in unauthenticated upload functionality allows a malicious actor to upload binaries and scripts to the server’s configuration and web root directories, achieving remote code execution on the Unified PAM server. |
| A Path Traversal "Zip Slip" vulnerability has been identified in mholt/archiver in Go. This vulnerability allows using a crafted ZIP file containing path traversal symlinks to create or overwrite files with the user's privileges or application utilizing the library.
When using the archiver.Unarchive functionality with ZIP files, like this: archiver.Unarchive(zipFile, outputDir), A crafted ZIP file can be extracted in such a way that it writes files to the affected system with the same privileges as the application executing this vulnerable functionality. Consequently, sensitive files may be overwritten, potentially leading to privilege escalation, code execution, and other severe outcomes in some cases.
It's worth noting that a similar vulnerability was found in TAR files (CVE-2024-0406). Although a fix was implemented, it hasn't been officially released, and the affected project has since been deprecated. The successor to mholt/archiver is a new project called mholt/archives, and its initial release (v0.1.0) removes the Unarchive() functionality. |
| Copier library and CLI app for rendering project templates. From 7.1.0 to before 9.9.1, Copier suggests that it's safe to generate a project from a safe template, i.e. one that doesn't use unsafe features like custom Jinja extensions which would require passing the --UNSAFE,--trust flag. As it turns out, a safe template can currently write files outside the destination path where a project shall be generated or updated. This is possible when rendering a generated directory structure whose rendered path is either a relative parent path or an absolute path. Constructing such paths is possible using Copier's builtin pathjoin Jinja filter and its builtin _copier_conf.sep variable, which is the platform-native path separator. This way, a malicious template author can create a template that overwrites arbitrary files (according to the user's write permissions), e.g., to cause havoc. This vulnerability is fixed in 9.9.1. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in Punkbuster pbsv.d64 2.351, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. |
| A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in olajowon Loggrove up to e428fac38cc480f011afcb1d8ce6c2bad378ddd6. Affected is an unknown function of the file /read/?page=1&logfile=LOG_Monitor of the component Logfile Update Handler. The manipulation of the argument path leads to path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. Continious delivery with rolling releases is used by this product. Therefore, no version details of affected nor updated releases are available. |
| The Player Leaderboard plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.2 via the 'player_leaderboard' shortcode. This is due to the plugin using an unsanitized user-supplied value from the shortcode's 'mode' attribute in a call to include() without proper path validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary PHP files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve full remote code execution if combined with file upload capabilities. |

A path traversal vulnerability was reported in the Motorola Ready For application that could allow a local attacker to access local files.

| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Erlang OTP (stdlib modules) allows Absolute Path Traversal, File Manipulation. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/stdlib/src/zip.erl and program routines zip:unzip/1, zip:unzip/2, zip:extract/1, zip:extract/2 unless the memory option is passed.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 until OTP 28.0.1, OTP 27.3.4.1 and OTP 26.2.5.13, corresponding to stdlib from 2.0 until 7.0.1, 6.2.2.1 and 5.2.3.4. |
| A path traversal vulnerability in Novakon P series allows to expose the root file system "/" and modify all files with root permissions. This way the system can also be compromized. This issue affects P series: P – V2001.A.C518o2 until P-2.0.05 Build
2026.02.06 (commit d0f97fd9). |
| HelloWeb 2.0 contains an arbitrary file download vulnerability that allows remote attackers to download system files by manipulating filepath and filename parameters. Attackers can send crafted GET requests to download.asp with directory traversal to access sensitive configuration and system files. |
| pyLoad is a free and open-source Download Manager written in pure Python. In version 0.5.0b3.dev89, an authenticated path traversal vulnerability exists in the /json/upload endpoint of pyLoad. By manipulating the filename of an uploaded file, an attacker can traverse out of the intended upload directory, allowing them to write arbitrary files to any location on the system accessible to the pyLoad process. This may lead to: Remote Code Execution (RCE), local privilege escalation, system-wide compromise, persistence, and backdoors. This is fixed in version 0.5.0b3.dev90. |
| Copier library and CLI app for rendering project templates. Prior to 9.9.1, a safe template can currently read and write arbitrary files because Copier exposes a few pathlib.Path objects in the Jinja context which have unconstrained I/O methods. This effectively renders the security model w.r.t. filesystem access useless. This vulnerability is fixed in 9.9.1. |
| ZenTaoPMS v18.11 through v21.6.beta is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in /module/ai/control.php. This allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted file upload |
| A vulnerability in the WebApl component of Mitel OpenScape Xpressions through V7R1 FR5 HF43 P913 could allow an unauthenticated attacker to conduct a path traversal attack due to insufficient input validation. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to read files from the underlying OS and obtain sensitive information. |
| internetarchive is a Python and Command-Line Interface to Archive.org In versions 5.5.0 and below, there is a directory traversal (path traversal) vulnerability in the File.download() method of the internetarchive library. The file.download() method does not properly sanitize user-supplied filenames or validate the final download path. A maliciously crafted filename could contain path traversal sequences (e.g., ../../../../windows/system32/file.txt) or illegal characters that, when processed, would cause the file to be written outside of the intended target directory. An attacker could potentially overwrite critical system files or application configuration files, leading to a denial of service, privilege escalation, or remote code execution, depending on the context in which the library is used. The vulnerability is particularly critical for users on Windows systems, but all operating systems are affected. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.1. |
| A vulnerability was identified in geyang ml-logger up to acf255bade5be6ad88d90735c8367b28cbe3a743. Affected by this vulnerability is the function log_handler of the file ml_logger/server.py. Such manipulation of the argument File leads to path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. This product takes the approach of rolling releases to provide continious delivery. Therefore, version details for affected and updated releases are not available. |
| A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect several product versions. If a local attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to read the contents of unexpected files or system data.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions:
